What is collagen?
Collagen is part of the family of proteins known as “structural,” like elastin and keratin. It consists of a chain of amino acids, including glycine, proline, and alanine.
A major component of bones, muscles, and skin, it ensures the maintenance and cohesion of connective tissues.
While naturally produced by the body, it can also be sourced from consuming collagen-rich foods or through dietary supplements.

It provides about 4 kCal/gram. Generally, a daily intake of 2.5 to 10 g of collagen is recommended, which represents a maximum of 40 kCal/day.
