Overview of Cuure

Fatigue, weakened immunity, skin or eye problems… Our needs change at every moment of our lives and we don’t always know how to meet them.

Cuure offers an innovative solution : take your online assessment in less than 5 minutes to receive your personalized recommendation.

Without leaving your home, you will receive a unique selection of supplements — in a box of 30 sachets each containing your daily dose. No more forgetting your daily dose!

Formulated by their bio-engineers, Cuure offers a wide range of products: vitamins, minerals, herbs, probiotics, amino acids…

Their supplements are formulated in France, from ingredients whose effectiveness is supported by science, without soy….

I tested Cuure for one month, here is my review.

How does it work?

Cuure is offered as a flexible subscription with monthly boxes that can be modified from one month to the next.

There are two options:

  • If you know your own supplement needs, you can add them directly to your cart to include them in your box.
  • If you’d like guidance in your selection, you complete an online assessment that takes about 5 minutes with around forty questions about your needs, health, lifestyle, diet, allergies, etc.

After the test, developed with a committee of nutrition professionals (physician nutritionists, pharmacists, naturopaths and biologists), a recommendation algorithm suggests between 2 and 8 dietary supplements tailored to each person.

You are free to add them to your cart or to choose additional dietary supplements.

You then receive every month a box containing your supplement sachets for daily use.

Our test and review of Cuure

The order

At the start of the online test, I have to specify my first name, my opinion regarding dietary supplements (see screenshot below)

Whether I currently take them or have taken them in the past, my sex, whether I want supplements in the context of a (future) pregnancy or breastfeeding, my age, and my postal code.

Next I define my expectations and my goals and answer a new series of questions stemming from those goals (between 2 and 5 questions per goal).

For example, by checking the “Brain” goal, the following questions are:

  • “Do you sometimes have difficulty concentrating?”
  • “Do you have short-term memory problems?”

Then it’s time for questions about my lifestyle (diet, exercise, etc.), any allergies I may have, my diet.

One might wonder whether all the questions really affect our recommendations, for example: “what do you think of traditional medicine?”.

Following the test, here are the recommendations I received:

Once the cart is modified/confirmed, I can place an order and specify my delivery options: shipping is free across Europe for purchases of €20 or more, noting that the average price of a box is about €35.

Receiving the package

Cuure commits to delivering to me within 2 to 5 days. When opening the box, the personalization is evident. I  find my first name on the packaging of the daily sachets and on the explanatory note.

A product leaflet lists the composition and dosage of the supplements. Thanks to their size, the sachets are easily transportable.

Taking the supplements

My personalized daily sachet contains 8 different supplements: milk thistle, boswellia, vitamin D, ginseng, a B vitamin complex, probiotics, vitamin C and magnesium.

The supplements have a neutral smell and taste.

Customer service

Cuure allows us to adapt our regimen according to our needs, our feedback, and the seasons.

Support is easily accessible from the website and reachable by chat, email, or phone. It is possible to track the delivery of your order via a link.

Support was responsive when I asked them about possible negative interactions between foods and my supplements.

Who is behind Cuure?

Cuure was launched in January 2019 by Hugo Facchin and Jules Marcihacy, two entrepreneurs with physician parents who have been immersed in nutrition their whole lives.

Hugo Facchin

Hugo, a graduate of ESSEC, grew up in a family of doctors and was exposed to dietary supplements at an early age. He served as CEO of the successful New York-based foodtech startup “Try the World”.

Jules Marcihacy

Jules, a graduate of Mines Paris, notably worked for a major strategy consulting firm. He also cut his teeth in New York startups as marketing director at “Adore Me” and as the founder of “Galen Supply”. His mother is a nutritionist (physician).

Investors, partners and laboratories

On the funding side, the startup raised money from Kima Ventures’ seed fund and from several business angels in the sector.

Cuure then raised €10 million with the specialized fund Capagro as lead investor, as well as Verlinvest, Jamjar and Newfund, which is renewing its investment

Products are manufactured in Europe, in partner laboratories that have more than 40 years of experience.

The company works with a scientific committee made up of nutritionist physicians, a neurologist and Doctors of Pharmacy.

Our review: ★★★★☆

I really enjoyed my experience with Cuure, in fact I remained subscribed after the trial. The personalization of the experience, both of the pack and the supplements, is a real plus compared with other dietary supplement brands online.

With its mobile app, email reminders and subscription system, Cuure managed to make us consistent in taking supplements over the long term. This is particularly important since the majority of scientific studies on the subject show that it is only by taking supplements for several months that one can observe a real impact on our health and well-being.

Price is another selling point: a Cuure subscription costs much less than buying the different supplements separately, whether online or in a pharmacy.

I also note a willingness to be transparent about the products offered, with detailed information on the composition of the supplements, their dosage and their properties.

To go further in this logic of transparency, Cuure could specify the origin of all the natural products used (the fish used in the composition of the “omega 3” supplement, the rapeseed in the “vitamin D”, etc.).

The company told us it is working on a new version of the site that will make this information even more accessible.
