Nutri&Co is a French brand created in 2017; it offers dietary supplements for sports, health, and beauty.

Indeed, with Nutri&Co, there is no doubt; we know everything about the product we are buying.
The Cynatine® keratin used is a patented keratin, developed in France, soluble, and bioavailable. Its effectiveness is clinically proven.
Biotin is extracted by fermentation and filtration in a laboratory located in China. It is in the form of highly absorbable bioactive D-biotin.

A one-month course of the Nutri&Co hair complex costs 26.90 euros, or 0.69 euro per day. This price is a little high compared with the product’s composition, but it is justified by the quality of the ingredients in the course.

NHCO is a French brand of dietary supplements created in 2008 by a pharmacist expert in micronutrition. This brand is distinctive for adding specific amino acids according to needs to its formulas.
Effluvium contains 20 active ingredients, making it the dietary supplement with the highest number of active ingredients. It contains notably iron, zinc bisglycinate at 150% of the NRVs, as well as 100% of the NRVs in biotin.
To complete its formula, NHCO adds 3 plant extracts: pepper and arugula, which promote microcirculation, and horsetail, rich in silica, essential for hair production.
The formula is optimized by a high concentration of keratin, the presence of amino acids, and collagen.
NHCO dietary supplements are made in France, they contain no additives and their formula is created by a specialized scientific committee.
The only downside is that the origin of all the ingredients that make up the capsule is not known.

Its customer service is efficient and fast.

Novoma customer service answered our questions accurately, but lacks responsiveness. We had to wait 6 days to get a response.

Good Hair – Lashilé Beauty: best hair gummies

Rating: 3.7/5
Nutrition: ★★★★☆
Safety: ★★★★☆
Brand: ★★★☆☆
Benefits
- 13 active
- Made in France
- Clinical study
- No controversial additives
- Top-notch customer service
Disadvantages
- Average absorption
- Only 50% of the NRV for zinc
- Lack of transparency
Lashilé Beauty is a French laboratory specializing in nutricosmetics. Since 2017, the brand has been revolutionizing the world of dietary supplements with its gummies.
Good Hair contains 13 active ingredients with a vitamin and mineral complex including 55% of the NRV for zinc and 1800% of the NRV for biotin. Too bad the amount of zinc is so low, and the amount of biotin is so high.
Providing such large doses has no additional effect because water-soluble vitamins like biotin are eliminated in the urine when taken in excess.
Hair Complex also contains two plant extracts, horsetail, which is rich in silica, and bilberry, which activates microcirculation.
Lashilé Beauty gummies are vegan, made with maltitol, pectin, and citric acid. There are no other additives.
Maltitol is a naturally derived sweetener that does not pose a health risk, but it can cause stomach pain in too large an amount for sensitive people.
The gummies are manufactured in France, but unfortunately there is little information about the origin of the active ingredients, especially the plant extracts.
The brand cites an internal dermatological study that observed positive results after 3 months. However, the number of participants is not disclosed, which limits the significance of this data.
Lashilé gets a 4 out of 5 rating on Trustpilot and has a large community on Instagram with 117 K followers.
Its customer service is fast and efficient; it answered our questions accurately in less than 24 hours.
A Good Hair treatment costs 24.90 euros for 1 month, or 0.83 euro per day.
Hair Complex – Nutralie : best value for money
Benefits
- 16 active ingredients
- Presence of iron
- Good amount of zinc and good absorption
- Quality customer service
- Attractive price
Disadvantages
- Presence of additive
- No keratin
- Lack of transparency
Nutralie is a Spanish brand created in 2018. Hair Complex contains 16 active ingredients, a full range of vitamins and minerals including 35% of the NRV in iron bisglycinate, 65% of the NRV in zinc, and 900% of the NRV in biotin. Mineral absorption is good.
The formula contains cysteine, an amino acid naturally present in keratin, as well as four plant extracts known for their hair-loss-fighting properties, including saw palmetto and pumpkin seed.
Nutralie capsules are plant-based. They contain two additives: magnesium stearate, which is not controversial, and silicon dioxide, which is considered undesirable by Que Choisir magazine.
Nutralie’s customer service is exemplary, with a response provided in less than 24 hours after the request was sent.
A slight downside regarding the lack of transparency concerning the ingredients used. I would have liked to find quality certificates on the website.
Nutralie gets 4.6/5 on review sites like Trustpilot and is followed by 10K followers on Instagram.
A 3-month course of Hair Complex costs 24.90 euros, which comes to only 0.27 euros per day. Hair Complex turns out to be the best value for money in our comparison.
Organic Hair Complex – Amoseeds: best organic hair supplement
Benefits
- Organic
- 100% natural
- No additives
- Made in France
Disadvantages
- No vitamins or minerals
- Lack of transparency
- Customer service a little slow
Amosseeds is a French brand specializing in the sale of organic superfoods since 2019.
The Amosseeds Hair Complex contains only 3 organic plant extracts. The presence of plant extracts without any other active ingredients allows it to obtain organic certification, which is impossible for supplements containing vitamins and minerals.
The plants used are bilberry, rich in antioxidants, whose properties are being studied for their role in scalp health. Horsetail, rich in silica, contributes to hair beauty, and arugula, traditionally used for its effect on microcirculation. The plants are highly concentrated to optimize effectiveness.
At Amosseeds, the capsules are plant-based and contain no additives. They are made in France.
The plants used come from Europe, but the country of origin is unknown. Unfortunately, there is no traceability certificate on the website.
Amoseeds has a rating of 4.5/5 on Trustpilot and has 15.3K followers on Instagram.
Customer service answered our questions well and precisely, but the response time was longer than a week. That is a bit long.
A one-month course costs 17.99 euros, or 0.59 euro per day.
Methodology
The product ranking is established by our editorial team, based on objective criteria (nutritional value, safety, reputation, and brand credibility). The methodology and FAQ were prepared by Maxime Mességué, a dietitian-nutritionist who serves as a scientific expert. Product data was collected in September 2024 from the brands’ websites. Prices and features may change.
To create this comparison, I defined 3 qualitative criteria based on the nutritional characteristics, product safety, and reputation of the brand.
Each criterion is rated out of 5 and the average of the 3 criteria determined the final selection.

Selection criteria
1. Nutritional value
Amount of active ingredient in the product
To care for hair, many elements are needed. The more active ingredients a product contains, the more likely it is to target the underlying problem. It will then be more effective.
Presence of iron and zinc in adequate amounts
These two minerals are very important for hair growth. For women, who are often deficient in iron, its presence is a real plus in the supplement.
Zinc, for its part, is sorely lacking in our daily diet. For a significant effect on hair growth, a minimum of 100% of the NRV is necessary.
Good amount of biotin or vitamin B6
Biotin is the B vitamin most important in “the making” of hair, so its presence is essential in a supplement for the beauty of the hair.
I recommended valuing brands that provide between 100 and 400% of the NRV. Some brands offer much higher concentrations, but that is not a quality criterion.
Indeed, there is no point in over-dosing biotin amounts because, in excess, it is eliminated through urine.
Absorption of active ingredients
I recommend basing it on the bioavailability of the active ingredients present in the formula.
For zinc, I recommend prioritizing zinc bisglycinate because it is the most easily absorbed form. Zinc citrate is moderately absorbed, while zinc oxide is much less well absorbed by the body.
For vitamin B, D-biotin is bioactive and well absorbed by the body.
For keratin, a hydrolyzed form is preferred to optimize the absorption of the amino acids that make it up.
Presence of keratin or amino acids specific to its production
Keratin is the protein that makes up 95% of the hair. Providing it as a dietary supplement makes it possible to supply all the amino acids needed to produce hair. This is an added benefit that should be highlighted in the ranking.
I also suggested paying attention to the presence of amino acids specific to keratin synthesis such as cystine or methionine, traditionally used to strengthen hair or promote hair growth. However, no serious study makes it possible to confirm their effectiveness.
Presence of plant extracts
Plant extracts are interesting when they are a source of silica, but also for stimulating microcirculation at the bulb level, helping to optimize hair growth and nutrition.
This is a point that is frequently found in hair formulas, to support bulb nutrition and hair quality.
2. Safety
To assess the product’s safety, I suggest basing it mainly on 3 criteria.
Presence of additives
I recommend favoring brands that include the minimum number of food additives, whether controversial or not.
Presence of controversial additives
The presence of controversial additives such as talc or other nanoparticles should be severely reflected in the score for this category.
Quality certificate available for free access on the website
This shows, in my opinion, exemplary transparency and often very good quality. It is extremely reassuring for the consumer.
Country of manufacture
I believe that French manufacturing should be favored, with a focus on local sourcing and because regulation is important.
3. Reputation and professionalism of the brand
To assess the professionalism and reputation of the brand, we can rely on several criteria:
- The company’s founding date because longevity is often a sign of quality
- Its reputation on social media such as Instagram and the number of followers
- Reviews on rating sites such as Trustpilot or Verified Reviews
- Customer service responsiveness: send each brand a list of questions to assess the speed and accuracy of the responses provided
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
What is the best dietary supplement for hair loss?
Difficult to answer this question because in reality it depends on the issue in question. If our hair is not in top shape, this can be due to many factors: a diet low in vitamins and minerals, a diet too low in protein, resulting in poorer keratin synthesis, scalp inflammation, or hormonal causes. However, if you have a balanced and varied diet and take in keratin, you optimize the supply of amino acids specific to hair synthesis. This gives you every chance of having beautiful hair. Taking keratin alone if you have a diet low in vitamins and minerals will have only little effect. Because for hair production, various cofactors are essential, the best known being iron, zinc, and vitamin B8 (biotin). If the scalp is damaged, I recommend choosing a hair supplement based on herbal medicine to help cleanse it and stimulate microcirculation.
Which vitamin is the most effective for hair?
Several vitamins are essential for hair growth, notably all the B vitamins as well as vitamin C, vitamin E, and vitamin D. However, the most important is vitamin B8, also called biotin. Indeed, biotin’s role is to enable keratin synthesis. A 2016 study conducted on women suffering from hair loss observed a biotin deficiency in more than one participant out of three, which underscores the value of a sufficient intake in this specific context. That is why biotin intake is often very prominent in hair dietary supplements.
Which plants are effective against hair loss?
To combat hair loss, you can use plants that target different causes. For microcirculation and scalp stimulation, bilberry, arugula, and ginseng, as well as nettle and horsetail, which are rich in silica. For hormone-related hair loss, sabal saw palmetto or maidenhair fern are used instead, as they contain an enzyme capable of blocking the effect of testosterone responsible for hair loss.
How long does a hair vitamin treatment last?
For it to be effective and optimal, all laboratories recommend a hair treatment lasting at least three months. That is the time needed for a growth of about 4 to 5 cm. That does not prevent you from seeing effects starting from the first month.
Forcapil or Luxeol: which is the best hair supplement?
I compared the flagship products of these two brands, namely Forcapil fortifying and Luxeol growth, growth, and strengthening. Forcapil in animal-derived capsule form: 5 vitamins, 1 mineral (zinc at 150% of the NRVs), 2 specific sulfur-containing amino acids, keratin, cystine, and methionine. Luxeol in plant-derived capsule form: 2 vitamins (B6 and B8 at only 30% of the NRVs), 3 minerals at low concentration with a maximum of 30% of the NRVs, 2 plant extracts that stimulate microcirculation. Based on the composition, Forcapil would be more useful in cases of an unbalanced and undiversified diet. It helps make up for possible deficiencies and provides amino acids that can support keratin synthesis. Luxeol would be better suited to people with a healthy, varied diet who want to stimulate their scalp. The vitamin and mineral intake is not sufficient to cover a possible deficiency. Vegetarians will preferably turn to Luxeol because of its plant-derived capsule.
