We therefore compared 18 Creapure® creatine brands sold in France on two objective criteria: the price per gram listed on each store, and the quality of customer relations, measured by a mystery shopper test conducted between June 30 and July 20, 2026. Here are the results, with a ranking for small formats (500 g and under) and one for large formats (1 kg).
Our verdict in brief:

Our methodology: two criteria, no subjectivity
All the creatines in this comparison bear the Creapure® label, a guarantee of creatine monohydrate produced in Germany by AlzChem with a purity above 99.9%. Since the raw material is identical, two criteria really make the difference at the time of purchase:
1. Price per gram (60% of the score). We recorded the retail price of each product and calculated the cost per gram, the only relevant indicator for comparing formats ranging from 100 g to 1 kg. The price score (out of 5) is indexed to the cheapest product in each format category.
2. Customer service (40% of the score). Between June 30 and July 20, 2026, we contacted the customer service team of each of the 18 brands with the same product question (dosage adjusted to body weight). Each brand was rated on response time (out of 3) and quality of the response (out of 3): personalization, accuracy, completeness. This score is converted to a 5-point scale. The available channels (chat, email, form, phone) were also documented.
The overall score out of 5 weights these two criteria at 60% for price and 40% for customer service. Price remains the primary decision criterion, since the raw material is strictly identical from one brand to another. But creatine is consumed daily for months: a brand’s ability to respond to its customers — about a dosage, an interaction, a storage question — weighs heavily in the actual buying experience. Our weighting therefore rewards brands that provide this support, and penalizes those that leave their customers unanswered.

But it is above all its customer service that stands out: during our test, the brand replied in 3 minutes flat via a remarkably well-designed form, with a personalized response that took into account the body weight indicated in our question. No other brand in the comparison did better on response time. This combination of low price + exemplary support earns it first place.
- Strengths: excellent price per gram in the 500 g format, near-instant and personalized customer support response, exemplary contact form.
- Weakness: the 150 g format (€17.90) is clearly less competitive on a per-gram basis.
🥈 2. Decathlon 300 g – unbeatable price per gram

At €21.99 for 300 g, Decathlon delivers the best price per gram in the entire small-format category (€0.07/g), at a level usually reserved for 1 kg formats. On the customer relations side, there is no easily accessible form on the website, but contact via WhatsApp led to a personalized response in a little over an hour, with good attention to our questions. Compared with AM Nutrition, the question comes down to: the lowest raw price, or 1 cent more per gram for exemplary customer support.

The 250 g format from Protéalpes (€24.95) is in the upper-middle range for price per gram (€0.10/g), but the Savoyard brand earns the best customer service response in our entire test: highly personalized, thorough, with a warm tone, received in just over 2 hours. Chat, form, and phone are available. And if you like the product, its 1 kg format is the clear winner of our large-format ranking (see below).
- Strengths: number one customer service response quality in the comparison, three contact channels, made in France.
- Weakness: average price per gram for the 250 g format.
Notable mentions for the small format
Greenwhey (300 g, €29.95) is close behind Protéalpes by a hair, with the same 5/5 customer service rating (clear and complete response in 2 hours): an excellent choice with the same profile. Bulk (500 g, €44.99) combines a good price per gram and reliable customer service that adjusted the dosage to our weight in 6 hours. Nutrimea (500 g, €39.90) offers the same price per gram as AM Nutrition — one of the best in the category — but its customer relations are less strong, with a complete response arriving after nearly 4 days.
As for disappointments: MyProtein was let down by an AI assistant that answered the wrong question, and Prozis by a delay of more than 4 days for a simple redirect to a link on the site. Nutripure sits in the middle of the pack: a competitive price per gram on its 450 g format, but an unusual customer service setup — no identified written channel for product questions, with contact going through a phone line directed toward its coaching offering, a paid service.

The 1 kg format is the most economical: at 3 g per day, a jar covers almost a full year of supplementation. It is the format to choose once you have confirmed your tolerance to the product.

A very relevant choice if you already know creatine well and do not expect support from the brand.

At €69.90 per kilo (€0.07/g), Dynveo finishes with the same rounded score as Nutripure, with an opposite profile: a slightly higher price, but strong and well-documented customer service. Its website is one of the most pleasant in the test, with thoughtfully designed access to contact options (email, form, phone), and the reply received in just over 3 hours was complete, with precise information on supplements to combine with it — a level of detail that reveals real product expertise.

The reference dose validated by research is 3 g per day (the dose authorized by the European health claim on physical performance), taken every day continuously, whether training or not. “Loading” protocols at 20 g/day are not necessary: they saturate muscle stores faster, but the result after 4 weeks is identical.
When should you take your creatine?
Timing matters little: consistency is what counts, because creatine works by the gradual saturation of muscle stores. Take it at the time that is easiest to stick to in your routine, ideally with a meal to improve digestive comfort.
Is Creapure® creatine more effective than regular creatine?
