How can we treat the minor everyday ailments that we all go through at one time or another in the most natural way possible?

That’s the question we’re going to ask today, using dietary supplements, phytotherapy, or even certain specific foods.

An episode designed for anyone who wants to take control of their daily health through a natural, easy, and above all effective approach.

The guest: Louise Talleu

Today I welcome Louise Talleu, a Doctor of Pharmacy and health writer, notably for Darwin Nutrition.

After backpacking around the world, she earned a university diploma at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Lille to specialize in the knowledge of natural products and dietary supplements.

She has just published a book, Treating Yourself Naturally, with 1Healthmedia. From acne to premenstrual syndrome, not to mention stress, fungal infections, sleep disorders, and libido problems, this book offers solutions based on natural products for each symptom.

It also offers advice on diet and lifestyle to adopt in order to relieve everyday health issues holistically and in the long term.

My questions

  • Why did you choose to become a pharmacist? And why, in particular, “Treating Yourself Naturally” and turn it into a book?

  • What do you include in the category “dietary supplements”?

  • Are there any precautions to take before using them?

  • You also discuss phytotherapy and aromatherapy in your book. Can you remind us what they encompass and what precautions should be taken with them as well?

  • What are the best supplements in general, in your opinion? Which ones do you always keep in your cupboard? Or which ones do you give to your loved ones?

  • Should you take supplements all the time?

  • What are the main nutrient deficiencies in France?

  • Let’s take three examples. What do you recommend for \”fatigue and overwork\”, for \”ENT infections\” and for \”premenstrual syndrome\”?

  • Can you also talk to us about \”those questions you don’t dare ask at the pharmacy\”?

  • Where do you recommend buying (or gleaning!) all these products? What are the right criteria for buying dietary supplements? (composition, made in France, bacteriological tests, etc.)

  • What advice would you give on diet and lifestyle to relieve everyday health problems comprehensively and in the long term?

  • Can you share a recipe you love?
