Links between diet and immunity
Today we’re going to talk about immunity, a hot topic as we come out of winter, since it refers to the set of defense mechanisms of an organism against infectious agents (such as viruses, bacteria, or parasites).
How can we support our natural immunity, with what simple everyday actions and which magic foods? How can we try to avoid resorting to medication?
That’s what we’ll explore today.
“I have decided to be happy because it’s good for my health”, said Voltaire…
The guest: Thierry Souccar
And to discuss our immunity and its link with nutrition, we welcome Thierry Souccar.
Journalist and scientific author, he has written 19 books on nutrition and health, including many bestsellers.
In charge of health, biology, and nutrition topics at Sciences et Avenir for 10 years, he created in 2006 the site LaNutrition.fr, the first French-language information site on nutrition and health.
He is the author of the book “Let’s stop sabotaging your immunity“. There he details the lifestyle changes we should adopt for our immunity, whether in diet, physical exercise, stress management, or sleep.
The goal: to put the immune system at rest, to avoid overactivating it, and to prevent creating an inflammatory environment.
