Dietary supplements are designed to provide one or more nutrients to the body. They may include vitamins, minerals, amino acids, plants, or plant extracts…
The European directive of June 10, 2022 defines them as products ” in the form of foods that constitute a concentrated source of nutrients and are designed to supplement the intake of nutrients in a normal diet “.
Supplementation may be useful in the following cases :
- for prevention or in cases of nutritional deficiencies, to supplement the recommended nutritional intakes (ANC)
- to improve physical and/or mental performance
- as part of a weight-loss diet or a nutritional rebalancing plan
- to support the body and strengthen the immune system
- to relieve certain ailments or symptoms
They come in different forms. Mainly as capsules, to be taken in the morning and/or evening, but also as gummies, powder, liquid form…
Previously, they could only be found in pharmacies and parapharmacies. But for the past few years, brands of varying quality have been emerging online. The question then arises of how best to choose them.
We have put together a list of criteria that we consider essential to help make sense of it all: the brand’s transparency, the origin of the raw materials and their manufacturing, the purity of the products, the brand’s expertise, its potential for innovation…
Before taking any dietary supplements, seek advice from a doctor. They can guide you on the appropriate dosage and duration of use.

👩🏻⚕️ The Pharmacist’s Opinion
✅ Pros: The products are generally high quality, Nutri&Co offers ingredients withsufficient concentrations and active forms, allowing proper absorption by the body.
Vitamin D, for example, is plant-based, in D3 form, and linked to a organic rapeseed oil, for optimal absorption. The collagen powder is in hydrolyzed form, with a low molecular weight (1800 daltons), facilitating its passage through the intestine.
Nutri&Co provides details on the origin of the raw materials for each product. Microbiological analysis certificates are visible on the site.
⚠️ Cons: Some additives used may cause intestinal discomfort; this is the case with hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC).

2. Cuure 🥇
Cuure offers a wide range of supplements to cover all needs, in bottles or in daily sachets and ever more innovative products such as FS-3B (Full Spectrum Tribiotic) launched in April 2025 and set to revolutionize microbiome health.
Fatigue, low immunity, skin or eye problems… Our needs change at every moment of our lives and we don’t always know how to address them. In addition, it is always complicated to find one’s way when it comes to dietary supplements; there are many of them, and we don’t always know how to dose them..
That’s why I found their personalized supplement offering very interesting: after an online assessment in less than 5 minutes, I received my personalized recommendation. Please note that these recommendations do not replace a consultation with a healthcare professional and do not take possible medical interactions into account.
I then received a unique selection of supplements — in a box of 30 sachets, each containing my daily dose.
That way, there’s no way to forget the daily intake.
Formulated by their bioengineers, Cuure offers a very wide range of products: vitamins, minerals, plants, probiotics, amino acids…
Their supplements are formulated in France, using ingredients whose effectiveness is backed by science, with no soy….

The concentration of active ingredients is optimal. For example, spirulina contains 19% phycocyanin, its active compound, and the presence of microbiological analysis certificates is reassuring.

👩🏻⚕️ The Pharmacist’s Opinion
✅ Pros : Dynveo offers a wide selection of products, without controversial additives. The ingredients are in active form and dosed sufficiently to avoid taking multiple doses.
The raw materials follow a strict quality charter, and microbiological analyses are available upon contacting the laboratory.
Some active ingredients derived from Chinese medicine are also offered (cycloastragenol, astragalus extract, or honokiol, magnolia extract).
The plants are available in the form of concentrated extracts and come from gentle production: the solvents are natural (water or ethanol), thus preserving the molecules and the environment.
⚠️ Cons : The usage precautions and drug interactions are not exhaustive.
The origin of the raw materials is not provided for some products such as marine collagen.

👩🏻⚕️ The Pharmacist’s Review
✅ Pros: Amoseeds offers a wide range of organic supplements: organic capsules and tablets, packs, and powdered superfoods. The site features a high-quality advice blog.
Many details about the properties of the active ingredients, the growing region, and usage advice are provided on the laboratory’s website.
The overall concentration of active ingredients in the products is good.

👩🏻⚕️ The Pharmacist’s Opinion
✅ Pros : The supplement formulas from the Aime brand are unique and developed for specific concerns.
For example, the French Flow capsules are indicated for cases of rosacea, psoriasis, or eczema. They contain alpha-lipoic acid, borage oil, hyaluronic acid, and probiotics.
This product helps act on different fronts : on skin hydration, on inflammation, and on gut balance, which can be disrupted in these skin conditions.
Thus, the ingredients used are consistent and provide a synergistic effect, and the product is made in France.
Aime is a diverse brand that also offers good-quality skincare, complementing the internal action of the supplements.
⚠️ Cons : In a single product, you may find ingredients in active forms and others in inactive forms.
There is a lack of detail about the quality of the active ingredients and their origin. Finally, the price-quality ratio remains high.
7. Epycure

👩🏻⚕️ The Pharmacist’s Review
✅ Pros : The combination of different nutrients in the products increases the number of usage precautions to take into account: these are clearly listed on each product sheet.
The online questionnaire is interesting (and in no way replaces a medical consultation). The packaging is recyclable or reusable, and the ingredients are mostly French.
⚠️ Cons : Some active ingredients are found to be not very concentrated, with forms of ingredients that are not very easily absorbed. The Essential Maternity or Anti-Fatigue cure, for example, contains a magnesium “oxide” form, which is not very effective, and additives that may cause digestive issues (HPMC).
The gummies contain sweeteners (sorbitol) and sugar. This is inconsistent given some of the claims: the “Radiant Complexion” product contains glucose syrup, even though added sugars should be avoided for skin beauty.
The origin of the raw materials is not provided for some products such as marine collagen. The analysis certificates are not available on the website.
8. Naturavignon

Launched in 2010, the Naturavignon brand offers a range of dietary supplements focused on natural health, herbal medicine, and everyday wellness. Its products are available in capsules, tablets, or powders, and cover a variety of needs: sleep, digestion, immunity, stress, joints…
It highlights plant extracts, vitamins, and naturally sourced minerals, often obtained from organic farming. Manufacturing is carried out in France, in Vaucluse, in the heart of Provence.
👩🏻⚕️ The Pharmacist’s Review
✅ Pros: Naturavignon offers a wide range of supplements formulated with well-known plants (valerian, griffonia, turmeric, spirulina…), with a promise of natural ingredients, without artificial colors or preservatives.
The brand was chosen as Brand of the Year in 2025.
⚠️ Cons: Very little information is available on the traceability of the raw materials: country of cultivation, extraction methods, or drying methods… Some products contain excipients (such as maltodextrin or silica) that may be poorly tolerated in cases of digestive disorders.
9. Nutrimea

Created more than 10 years ago, Nutrimea offers one of the largest selections of dietary supplements on the market. Its range is aimed at a very broad audience and meets a variety of needs.

👩🏻⚕️ Pharmacist’s review
✅ Pros : Nutrimea offers natural supplements, and some are organic, and uses high-quality raw materials.
We find active forms for some products (zinc citrate, magnesium bisglycinate, methylated folic acid).
⚠️ Cons : There is a lack of precision on the active ingredients (Phycocyanin content for spirulina? Type of cultivation?) and on their standardization (Silymarin content of milk thistle?). This information is important for understanding the quality and effectiveness of the products.
Some forms are not active (vitamin B12 in cyanocobalamin form, marine magnesium), and we find non-harmful additives that could be replaced (maltodextrin, HPMC).
Methodology
The selection and ranking of the brands is established by our editorial team based on objective and subjective criteria, and with the help of Louise Talleu, who contributes as a scientific expert. The data was collected in May 2025 from the companies’ websites. Prices and features may change.
Each brand was reviewed according to six dimensions:
1. Quality of raw materials. Geographic origin, cultivation method (organic, conventional), extraction processes, possible presence of patents or documented strains/active ingredients (Quali-C®, Naticol®, etc.).
2. Form and concentration of the active ingredients. Do we favor bioavailable forms (magnesium citrate or bisglycinate rather than oxide, methylcobalamin rather than cyanocobalamin, vitamin D3 rather than D2)? Do the concentrations reach a level of efficacy documented by the scientific literature?
3. Excipients and additives. Presence or absence of controversial excipients (titanium dioxide, certain bulking agents), nature of the capsules (plant-based pullulan vs. animal gelatin), sweeteners in gummy forms.
4. Transparency and traceability. Availability of microbiological analysis certificates, communication about suppliers and production sites, clarity of labeling, mention of precautions for use and contraindications.
5. Scope and consistency of the range. Diversity of the indications covered, consistency of the formulations (relevant ingredient synergies), capacity for innovation, presence of tools to help with selection (personalized assessments).
6. Responsible commitments. French or European manufacturing, organic certifications, eco-designed packaging, Cruelty Free labels.
