With the years, the skin produces less collagen and elastin, and its hyaluronic acid loses quality. As a result, it becomes thinner, dries out faster, and loses its bounce.

Serums work on the surface, but you can also add active ingredients that work from within, an approach known as “in & out”, which we like to highlight at Darwin Nutrition.

A pioneer of clean beauty, the Aroma-Zone brand offers short formulas, with no unnecessary additives, and detailed composition down to the gram. We took a close look at them.

Marine collagen: no surprise, the best seller

aroma zone marine collagen

The Aroma-Zone Marine Collagen is the benchmark in the brand’s best-selling dietary supplement category. Its composition comes down to a single ingredient: 100% hydrolyzed fish collagen peptides, type I, with no flavoring or additives.

Enzymatic hydrolysis reduces the peptides to a molecular weight of about 2,000 daltons, a size chosen to help absorption. The collagen comes from the skins of fish from Friend of the Sea certified aquaculture, and the powder is made in France, .

It is taken at 2.5 to 10 g per day, in a glass of water, coffee, or a smoothie, for a 3-month course. The brand relies on a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study conducted in 60 women with 2.5 g per day for 12 weeks.

The product received the Top Santé first prize in the dietary supplements category in 2024, then again in 2026. Note: because it is marine-derived, it is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans.

Who is it for? For those who see their skin losing firmness and want a single-ingredient formula, with no flavoring or additives. It is also suitable for athletes at a higher dose of 10 g per day.

Hyaluronic acid capsules: the vegan option

aroma zone hyaluronic acid

Aroma-Zone Hyaluronic Acid provides 150 mg of pure hyaluronic acid per capsule, in a vegetable cellulose shell. It is obtained by fermenting sugars using microorganisms, not extracted from rooster combs: the supplement is therefore vegan. It is made in France.

Dosage: one capsule per day, preferably with a meal. A jar of 60 capsules lasts two months, for €13.95.

The 150 mg dose corresponds to the amount used in the study cited by the brand on this grade of hyaluronic acid. Aroma-Zone also states, transparently, that the oral mechanism of action is not fully understood: the molecule is broken down during digestion before reaching the tissues. For adults only.

Who is it for? For dry, dehydrated skin that lacks suppleness, and for people who already use a hyaluronic acid serum and want to complement their routine from the inside out.

Skin Anti-Aging Complex: We’re betting on lipids

anti-aging complex aromazone

The Skin Anti-Aging Complex relies on lipids, the components that make up the skin barrier. For 2 capsules a day, it contains 750 mg of evening primrose oil, 500 mg of borage oil, both rich in essential fatty acids, and 70 mg of Céramosides™, a lipid extract from wheat grain enriched with plant ceramides concentrated in plant ceramides.

The formula also provides 12 mg of vitamin E, i.e. 100% of the reference nutrient intake. Vitamin E helps protect cells against oxidative stress.

The active ingredient Céramosides™ was the subject of a randomized double-blind placebo-controlled trial in about thirty women aged 50 to 60 who were going through menopause, at a dose of 70 mg per day, the amount contained in 2 capsules. The 60-capsule jar, enough for one month of treatment, is sold for €18.95.

Who is it for? For mature, dry skin that feels tight, especially around menopause, when the skin loses part of its lipids. In fact, this is the population on which the active ingredient Céramosides™ was tested.

Resveratrol & Grape OPC: the antioxidant option

resveratrol aromazone

The Resveratrol & Grape OPC supplement combines three ingredients derived from grapes and acerola. For 2 capsules a day: 300 mg of Veri-te™ trans-resveratrol, obtained by fermentation, 267 mg of grape seed extract standardized to 75% oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPC), and 81 mg of acerola extract providing 12 mg of natural vitamin C, i.e. 15% of the reference nutrient intake.

It is this vitamin C that carries the formula’s recognized benefits: it contributes to normal collagen formation to help maintain normal skin function and protect cells against oxidative stress.

The 60-capsule jar is enough for one month of use. Made in France and vegan, this supplement is not recommended for people taking medication: speak with your doctor or pharmacist before starting.

For whom? For people exposed to factors that increase oxidative stress (sun, pollution, urban living) and who want a concentrated antioxidant formula. Avoid use if taking medication, unless advised by a doctor.
