Created in 2012, Nutrimea offers a range of dietary supplements, aromatherapy products (essential oils), and 100% natural cosmetics. 

The brand’s supplements target a very wide audience with varied needs, covering about twenty health-related themes (anti-stress, fertility, sports, antioxidants, etc.).

The brand has grown and recently made its small-screen debut with an advertising campaign on M6.

Review

Product: ★★★★☆

I was able to try a bottle of “Multivitamins and minerals” capsules. The opaque packaging is quite appealing. It offers better protection for the capsules against light.

French origin is highlighted with a pretty tricolor ribbon that must be torn to open the bottle. 

The size is rather small and easily portable. It contains 90 capsules with a neutral taste and smell.

I compared the price of Nutrimea’s organic spirulina and maca with that charged by several competitors:

Nutrimea offers the lowest price in both cases.

Delivery is available in France and Belgium and free for orders over €40. A ‘promotion’ tab offers a small selection of products with discounts of up to 40%.

A promotional offer lets you receive a 4th product for free when buying 3 identical products. By using a customer account on the site, you can obtain 5% loyalty credits on each purchase, which can be accumulated and used as vouchers on a future order.

Nutrimea does not systematically specify where the ingredients come from in its dietary supplements. The country and region of origin of the ingredients are sometimes mentioned. The spirulina comes from the “dotuyadu mongyol” region in Inner Mongolia and the maca from the High Andes of Peru. 

The suppliers of raw materials are not specified on the brand’s website. We also do not have access to microbiological or quality studies on the products.

Nutrimea was founded in 2012 by Laurent Jacob. He says he created the company to share the benefits of nature with consumers, to help them feel better and take care of their health.

Originally, Laurent Jacob is a web entrepreneur, but he does not come from the dietary supplements sector. In the 1990s he launched the site Boursier.com, then co-founded Plastimea in 2012, a site dedicated to aesthetics and beauty.

Nutrimea publishes content via a glossary that includes a list of natural ingredients, vitamins and trace elements. You can find detailed fact sheets there with their origin, benefits, dosages, etc. They are written by a dietitian-nutritionist.

The brand’s blog features tips and advice on health, beauty and home. It includes original recipes like a panna cotta with geranium essential oil!

The company says it collaborates with health experts (a doctor, a former professor of medicine, a specialist in scientific information) to get their opinions and have certain recommendations regarding their products, but we do not have their identities.

According to the SimilarWeb tool, the estimated number of visits to the Nutrimea site in October 2020 is 360,000, which is very high compared to other laboratories. On social networks, the brand is followed by 2,571 fans on Facebook and about 10K followers on Instagram.

As for customer reviews, on the “Avis Vérifiés” site, there are over 750 in the last 12 months with an average rating of 9.1. 

What stands out from the reviews posted about the brand is the speed of delivery, the quality of the packaging, the site’s ergonomics which makes ordering easier. The quick response time of customer service is also highlighted.

An FAQ on the site is particularly comprehensive for questions related to purchases on the site.

If you have further questions, you can fill out an online form, contact Nutrimea via Facebook or chat with an online advisor. Requests are handled in the order in which they are received.

I contacted them via the form about the multivitamin dosage, but I only received a response 4 days later. After speaking with support I understood that they were a bit overwhelmed because it’s their busy season.

Nevertheless the answer they gave me was precise and correct.

The brand’s production laboratory, located in Brittany, is certified ISO 22000, a standard attesting to food safety. Nutrimea products have obtained numerous certification standards such as Ecocert, HACCP and ISO 9001.
