Overview of Nutripure
Nutripure offers a range of dietary supplements and foods suited to different needs: health and energy, joint comfort, digestive comfort, immunity, stress and sleep, fat loss, etc. These types of supplements can be suitable for a wide audience.
The “strength training” and “endurance” ranges are aimed at athletes and especially at those who are vegetarians / vegans or who are interested in plant-based ingredients as part of their training. There are also specific formulations to relieve tendonitis or to carry out a “cut”.

Dietary supplements
Product range
The products are grouped into 4 categories: health, strength training, endurance and fat loss.
The company uses as many ingredients as possible from organic farming. All products are free of chemical additives and GMOs. All of the products are made in France.
In the strength training category, for example, you can find:
- vitamins, minerals and omega-3s,
- amino acids (glycine, citrulline, etc.),
- plant proteins,
- whey (milk protein),
- protein bars
- ingredients to make a sportsperson’s breakfast or snack (sweet potato flour, granola, coconut oil).
Nutripure’s whey isolate is of very high quality; we actually highlighted it in our comparison of the best whey proteins.

Focus on plant proteins
Nutripure’s plant proteins are composed of 70% split pea protein and 30% rice protein. They are suitable for people intolerant to gluten and lactose as well as for those following restrictive diets such as vegans.
Nutripure’s plant proteins are hydrolyzed. That means the amino acid chains have been broken, which makes them easier to absorb.
Their digestibility-corrected chemical score would be 100% according to Nutripure. It’s a score that evaluates the quality of proteins. The higher a protein’s ability to supply the body with essential amino acids after digestion, the higher its score will be.
Their BCAA content is over 18%. These are branched-chain amino acids whose effect on muscle mass development has been demonstrated by several studies.
Focus on multivitamins
The Nutripure multivitamin supplement contains 22 nutrients including 12 vitamins and 5 minerals. Among the vitamins are vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, B-group vitamins: vitamin B6, vitamin B9 and vitamin B12 in particular.
In the composition section, there are certificates regarding the absence of nanoparticles in vitamin E or the analysis of the presence of bacteria or heavy metals.
The multivitamin’s ingredients are contained in a pullulan vegetable capsule, which places it above an HPMC vegetable capsule in terms of quality.

Test and review
Product: ★★★★☆
I’ve tested several products from the Nutripure range: the plant-based proteins with a shaker and two flavors, chocolate and mango-lime. Also the multivitamins, magnesium and omega-3s.
My package came with a booklet. It contains key information about the brand, its approach and values; it also includes recipes to make with the company’s products, like a banana bread.

At the visual level, the product packaging is pleasant. There is a small French flag on the packaging, because the products are made in France.
The capsules have a neutral smell and are relatively easy to swallow.
Regarding the plant proteins, the powder’s smell is also neutral. The powder is very fine. I mixed it into soy milk. After a few shakes in the shaker I get a homogeneous preparation without lumps. I find the texture slightly powdery.
I added the chocolate flavor to it. Soy milk is probably not the plant milk that best suits this powder; the taste of the preparation didn’t fully convince me.
I tested it by mixing it in water. The taste is more neutral. I also tried it with almond milk and a bit of powdered sugar; I preferred the taste of that preparation to the one made with soy milk.

Price: ★★★★☆
I created a price comparison table for plant proteins and Nutripure’s multivitamin, comparing it to the prices charged by several competitors.
Plant proteins
| Nutripure | Nu3 | Bulk Powders | Foodspring | |
| Price Dec. 2020 | 32.90 € / kg | 21.99 € / kg | 32.99 € / kg | 39.99 € / kg |
nu3: vegan proteins (pea, hemp and rice)
Bulk Powders: vegan powder (pea protein isolate, brown rice protein, pumpkin seed protein etc.)
Foodspring: plant protein (pea protein isolate, sunflower seed protein, chickpea protein isolate, hemp protein)
Multivitamins
| Nutripure | Nutrimea | Anastore | |
| Price Dec. 2020 | 0.51 €/g | 0.30 €/g | 0.32 €/g |
Magnesium
| Nutripure | Nutrimea | Natura Force | |
| Price Dec. 2020 | 0.30 €/g | 0.16 €/g | 0.32 €/g |
Regarding the plant proteins, the price charged by Nutripure is attractive given the organic certification of its ingredients.
Nutrimea‘s multi contains about ten ingredients vs. about twenty at Nutripure. There are also differences in composition that can affect the product’s price.
Finally, Nutripure’s magnesium is priced similarly or close to that of two of its competitors.
Shipping is available in many countries. In metropolitan France, shipping is free to pick-up points for purchases of €39 or more.
There are bundles that are cheaper than buying the products separately. Each order generates 7% loyalty credit, which can be used to purchase products from the range later.
A referral program allows the referred person to deduct €5 from their order on purchases of €50 or more. The referrer receives 5% of the referred person’s purchase amount in loyalty credits.
Regarding navigation on the website, I find that the product catalog is not very readable. Products are not grouped by format (powder, capsules, drops, etc.), which does not make navigation intuitive.
Transparency: ★★★★★
Nutripure specifies the origin of the ingredients of its dietary supplements in the transparency section of each product page. The country of origin is mentioned.
For example, the root extracts of ashwagandha come from India. However, the sweet potatoes used to make the flour come from Africa, and there is no mention of the country. Nutripure could go further in its transparency approach by mentioning the region of origin.
The brand’s website specifies the suppliers of raw materials. On each product page, the certificates section groups microbiological or quality studies on the products.
Nutripure was founded in 2018 by two brothers. Christophe Carrio is a five-time world champion in artistic karate. He notably developed a bodyweight strength training method called CTS, “cross-training system”.
Florent Carrio has an engineering background; he was trained at SupAéro and then completed his studies with an entrepreneurial program at Stanford. He later worked as a manager or CEO of several companies.

Expertise: ★★★★☆
On the product pages, I find a scientific references tab that details the benefits of each product. The brand cites scientific studies to support its claims.
Nutripure’s blog features articles about health, sports nutrition, and recipes using the brand’s products. Some articles are accompanied by a scientific bibliography.

The company collaborates with health experts, including a physician and a pharmacist. They are involved in particular in product formulation and in determining the duration of use for dietary supplements.
Popularity: ★★★★☆
I used the SimilarWeb tool to analyze the web traffic of Nutripure’s website. It totaled about 120,000 visits in November 2020, which is fairly high. On social media, the company has almost 20,000 followers on Facebook and 15,000 on Instagram.
On Amazon, I noticed that the company’s best sellers (omega-3s, multivitamins, and magnesium) have about a hundred reviews. Comments highlight the ease of swallowing the supplements, the French manufacturing, and the traceability of the ingredients. The brand’s transparency is emphasized.
On Nutripure’s website, the products with the most reviews have just over a hundred. Most products have been rated by a few dozen people.
Trust: ★★★★☆
You can use an online form or send an email to contact@nutripure.fr to contact customer service and delivery. It is also possible to ask questions about choosing or using a product.
Customer service can also be reached via Facebook.
Here are the questions I asked:
- For the plant proteins, is the rice white rice?
- Has the arsenic content of the rice been tested?
- A chemical score adjusted for digestibility of 100% is mentioned; is there a document attesting to this?
- Regarding the multivitamins, I wanted to know whether there is a risk, during a several-week course, of overdosing on certain nutrients that exceed the RDAs: vitamin D (500% RDA), biotin (vitamin B8) (300% RDA) or vitamin C, for example (250%)
The response time to my inquiries submitted via the online form was quick (2 days). The answers given by my contact were clear and precise:
Regarding the PDCAAS certificate:
The production of the supplements takes place in France, in the Toulouse region for most products. The manufacturing is certified ISO22000 and HACCP, two certifications related to food safety.
