Cheaper online organic stores
To do your shopping while prioritizing only organic products, there’s no need to break the bank. Online grocery stores now offer very attractive rates for their members, allowing you to quickly recoup your investment.
Good news, because according to our survey on the diet of the French during lockdown, more French people want to consume organic products but it is still often reserved for wealthier groups.
Far from being limited to food products, these grocery stores display a wide range of items, from cosmetics to household products – all organic, without unnatural additives or GMOs.
Some are stronger than others in certain product segments, and may or may not offer bulk or fresh items.
2 of these 3 sites require an annual subscription. So choosing the one that best fits our consumption habits is crucial, because to make the investment worthwhile it’s ideal to concentrate all your organic purchases on a single platform.
#1. La Fourche : the leader in organic subscription services 🥇

La Fourche
With more than 4,000 organic products, La Fourche by subscription positions itself across all organic segments: bulk food products, canned goods, eco-friendly household products, hygiene, health, hair care and many others.
Lucas Lefebvre and Nathan Labat, the store’s co-founders, decided in 2018 to forgo any direct margin, relying solely on annual membership fees.
Members receive 25 to 50% off their purchases with, according to La Fourche, an average of €300 saved per year. A simulator is available on the site to calculate potential savings.
Each membership (€59.90 per year) to the grocery store allows a membership to be offered to a household in need, particularly in the neighborhood where it is located.
La Fourche has launched its own brand which includes more than a hundred products. For each new product, the company consults its community to decide on its features, price, carbon impact…
Note that the packages are made from 100% recycled and recyclable materials, and that bulk items are bagged by employees of the ESAT des Muguets or by young people in reintegration programs.
The company has also launched Zero Waste home grocery delivery with glass return deposit (currently available in Paris and in a few departments).
La Fourche is part of the Mouvement Impact France and the collective that launched the Eco-score, notably alongside Yuka.
La Fourche has been funded to the tune of several tens of millions of euros, and acquired its competitor Aurore Market in 2022.

Our review
We ranked La Fourche number 1 because of its leadership position, the quality of its own-brand products and its innovations, especially regarding sustainability. Additionally, deliveries are free from €49 of purchase, compared to €69 at Kazidomi, the main competitor.

#2. Kazidomi : the outsider

Kazidomi
Kazidomi, it’s the story of Emna Everard, its young founder from Belgium, the daughter of a nutrition expert who taught her to eat healthily from a young age. In 2016, after studying business, Emna decided to found her own online organic grocery. Its name means in Latin “to feel at home”.
The idea was “to open a supermarket where you can do your shopping with your eyes closed,” she says. After an initial fundraising of €50,000 in 2017, the young grocery has continued to gain momentum, with €450,000 raised in 2018, and over one million in early 2020.
There too, the products offered are much cheaper than elsewhere (up to 50% off), but are reserved for members (membership €59 / year).
Beyond organic food products, you can find everything on Kazidomi : cleaning products, cosmetics, and even items to meet babies’ needs. All products are sourced through exclusively organic processes.
The grocery has its own brand, for example a range centered on coconut. The products come from a producer in Sri Lanka, with sustainable farming and revenue redistributed to the village community.
In 2019, Kazidomi received the “B-corporations” label which rewards companies acting for the world of tomorrow (2,700 companies worldwide). These must comply with a demanding set of requirements based on social, environmental, and governance criteria, etc.

Our review
Kazidomi is an excellent alternative to La Fourche, and offers very similar features (bulk, number of product listings, sustainability…). Customer reviews are nevertheless less positive, and shipping fees are a bit higher.
We particularly like the site’s design and the browsing and shopping experience.
#3. Greenweez : the largest selection

Greenweez
Greenweez was founded in 2008 by Romain Roy. It is the historic organic e-commerce in France.
The online organic store offers more than 125,000 organic products, ecological and sustainable. There is no membership system, so prices are roughly the same as at other organic stores.
Greenweez is now a marketplace, which means the site sells products directly, but also offers products from other merchants. Delivery can therefore be handled by Greenweez or by its partner, depending on the chosen products.
Greenweez became a mission-driven company in 2021 and has included its continuous improvement objectives in its bylaws to optimize its operations as much as possible while respecting CSR principles.
The site offers bulk products and also fresh products with refrigerated delivery.

Our review
The main advantage of Greenweez is that you can find everything there. The number of offerings is very large (but is it necessary?), the site offers bulk and fresh products… However, prices are higher than at subscription-based organic stores and delivery is always charged.
