Oral and dental infections: most effective dietary supplements

Mis à jour le

Oral and dental infections, such as gingivitis or canker sores, are common and can affect the gums, tongue and cheeks. They are often caused by poor oral hygiene, overly aggressive brushing, or the use of hard-bristled toothbrushes. People with diabetes or who are immunocompromised are particularly vulnerable. Symptoms include redness, pain, bleeding gums and sometimes ulcers or generalized discomfort in the mouth. Gingivitis, for example, results from inflammation of the gums often due to bacterial overgrowth, while oral fungal infections are caused by fungi. To relieve these infections, the use of trace elements such as copper and silver is recommended. They can be used as mouthwashes, three times a day for 15 days. Good oral hygiene, combined with regular visits to the dentist, remains essential to prevent these conditions and maintain good oral health.
