Many websites offer home delivery of meal boxes. You simply choose from several recipes to assemble your weekly box, which will then be delivered to your home.
This system operates on a weekly subscription that you can manage at your own pace.
Meal boxes are customizable according to the number of people in the household, preferences, and dietary requirements: vegetarian, organic, vegan…
There are 2 types of meal boxes:
- prepared dishes : these are fresh dishes that have already been cooked. Once delivered to your home, simply reheat them in the oven or in the microwave ;
- meal kits or “cooking box”: each week, you will receive all the ingredients needed to cook and prepare your meals.
They offer many advantages:
- they save you a lot of time and avoid the chore of grocery shopping ;
- they help you eat better, more varied, balanced and seasonal. They are useful in the context of a nutritional rebalancing, for example ;
- they let you discover original ingredients and new flavors ;
- they reduce food waste: the ingredients are pre-portioned to avoid throwing them away.
How did I compile this ranking?
I conducted an overview of meal boxes, then selected and ranked the 8 programs below.
My criteria:
- value for money
- program popularity
- the quality of the recipes and ingredients used (organic, local, etc.)
- customer reviews
This comparison is based on information collected in 2025.

👩🏻⚕️ The dietitian’s opinion
✅ Pros: To lose weight or to eat healthily every day, Cheef reassures because everything is already weighed, calibrated and nutritionally evaluated. The validation of the dishes by a starred chef is a real plus to ensure the whole family enjoys meals every day.
Many options are available regarding the frequency, quantity, and contents of the meal boxes.
⚠️ Cons: Cheef is not the cheapest solution in our selection, but this is justified by the quality of the raw materials and the dishes.

👩🏻⚕️ The dietitian’s opinion
✅ Pros: If you’ve lost the desire to cook, the HelloFresh box is a good way to rekindle your interest in cooking.
The recipes are varied, with more than 20 new recipes each week (in addition to the classics) and the ingredients are of good quality with a Nutri-Score A or B for more than 80% of the recipes.
I really appreciate that there is a wide selection of recipes with very exotic or more classic flavors. You can also check reviews on various dedicated sites; overall they are very good in terms of customer feedback.
⚠️ Cons: It’s up to you to choose your recipes carefully so they are varied over the course of the week. Select recipes that emphasize vegetables, especially if you personally have trouble cooking them.

3. Quitoque
Quitoque offers meal kits made with seasonal fresh ingredients and of French origin when possible. You can choose between 2 and 9 recipes per week, for 2 to 5 people.
Quitoque guarantees meals ready in 30 minutes maximum. You’ll have a choice of 27 new recipes every week.
Each box comes with easy, detailed recipe cards.
The Quitoque subscription is no commitment and easily changeable online. You can choose to have deliveries every week or only from time to time. It is also possible to pause it if you go on vacation, for example.
Delivery is free and available throughout metropolitan France.
Price : from €3.82/meal (discounted rates)
👩🏻⚕️ The dietitian’s opinion
✅ Pros: Offering balanced recipes prepared in 30 minutes is Quitoque’s real strength. Meats and vegetables are 100% French and you can choose from 40 recipes each week.
Several recipes are available for free on the website, try them. Quitoque also commits to offering certified and/or organic products when possible: AOP, IGP, Pavillon France or Label Rouge…
⚠️ Cons: If you dig a little deeper, only 10 recipes are ready in 30 minutes (even marked at 35 minutes), the others range between 45 and 60 minutes of preparation.
Furthermore, if I look more closely, vegetables are generally scarce or only present in very small quantities, so choose your recipes carefully.

4. Seazon

The Seazon boxes consist of fresh dishes prepared by chefs. They are therefore ready to eat, or to reheat in the oven or microwave.
You can choose from 4 to 14 dishes from many recipes that change every week. Seasonal, organic and certified ingredients are prioritized as much as possible.
You can choose from 4 main categories: Balanced, Athletics, Vegetarian and -500 kcal. You can also filter by allergens, ingredients, or Nutri-Score.
The Seazon subscription is commitment-free. You can change your plan, pause or cancel your subscription whenever you want.
Delivery is free in mainland France.
Price : from €8.98/meal (discounted rates)
👩🏻⚕️ The dietitian’s opinion
✅ Pros: If you pay attention to calories, under each Seazon recipe you’ll find the number of calories per dish. On the meal sheets, you can see the percentage of organic and seasonal ingredients as well as the allergens.
Want to go further? The nutrition tables give you all the information to eat healthily. Seazon is a meal kit I would recommend occasionally for its nutritional and taste qualities.
Indeed, Seazon commits to dishes with Nutri-Score A or B and under 500 calories with at least 45% vegetables and legumes.
⚠️ Cons: In my opinion, quantities may need to be adjusted for some small eaters (who can keep some for the next day).
The price, at nearly 9 euros per dish, may seem excessive depending on the quantities and the chosen dish. If I take the example of the chiffonnade de jambon et pommes de terre à la Dauphinoise, it seems a bit expensive to me, even if delivery is free.
5. Les Commis

By choosing the meal kits from Les Commis, you’ll receive fresh, seasonal and local ingredients delivered to your home. The company offers many varied recipes, including 12 new ones each week.
It highlights plant-based options with at least 6 vegetarian recipes per week. The meat, meanwhile, is 100 % French.
The dishes are divided into 5 categories : 100 % nutrition, Efficient, Creative, Indulgent and Vegetarian. They are ready in under 20 minutes.
You can order up to 8 dishes for 2 to 4 people. Some recipes have been specially designed to be cooked with the Thermomix.
Les Commis give access to other products to complete your weekly basket : seasonal fruit, meats, cheeses…
The subscription is flexible and without commitment.
Delivery (€2.90/basket) is available throughout France.
Price : from €4.69/meal (tiered pricing)
👩🏻⚕️ The dietitian’s opinion
✅ Pros: Les Commis focuses on 100% seasonal and 95% French products, a commitment I particularly appreciate that results in a nice variety of recipes.
Moreover, their recipes are 50% vegetarian, and otherwise they showcase vegetables.
They even created the “Commis-Score”, a guide to understanding the composition of each dish based on your preferences or your nutritional needs (low GI, Omega, whole ingredients, oilseeds, legumes…). A practical aid for choosing your weekly menu.
⚠️ Cons: Compared to other boxes, you may be limited in your recipe choices.
A box to take as a stopgap during the week, to stock up on vegetables and to rekindle the desire to cook alongside it. Les Commis are less well-known than previous boxes and more expensive when you compare price per dish.
6. Rutabago

Rutabago is a site specialized in organic meal boxes. It offers meals to cook or meals to reheat in 3 minutes in the microwave.
The recipes are developed with 100 % organic ingredients and sourced as much as possible from short supply chains. 80% of them are vegetarian or vegan.
Create your weekly menu by choosing from 9 dishes designed by female chefs. You can select 3 to 5 meals for 2 to 4 people.
You can also add a breakfast, an organic fruit basket, quick meals, or a brunch to your box.
Delivery is included and available throughout France.
The subscription is commitment-free, modifiable and cancelable at any time.
Price : from €4.95/meal (discounted rates)
👩🏻⚕️ The dietitian’s opinion
✅ Pros: Rutabago is ideal for those who want to include more vegetarian or vegan dishes in their daily routine (nearly 80% of the recipes).
I find that these boxes also offer useful support for beginning a transition to a more plant-based diet when you don’t know where to start.
The 100% organic is also a sign of quality, something you won’t find with any other box.
⚠️ Cons: The lack of variety in the recipes may be a drawback for some. Only 9 recipes per week is little if you need to satisfy a whole family (with children sometimes reluctant to certain foods).
7. Kitchen Daily

Kitchen Daily offers delivery of prepared and cooked meals to your home. The recipes are developed by Mauro Colagreco, a three-Michelin-star chef, and approved by dietitians.
27 meals are offered, including 7 new recipes each week. They are cooked from fresh, natural ingredients, with no preservatives and no additives. The poultry are free-range and the fish are sustainably sourced.
You can order from 4 to 18 meals per week.
Delivery is free and available throughout mainland France.
You are subscribed with a commitment of 4 deliveries. From the 5th delivery onward, you can modify or suspend your subscription if you wish.
Price : from €9.50/meal (discounted rates)
👩🏻⚕️ The dietitian’s opinion
✅ Pros: Kitchen Daily’s meals are prepared by a chef and approved by a dietitian: two guarantees of quality if you’re mindful of your figure and your indulgences.
Delivery is fast and nutritional ratios are respected (20% protein, 45% carbs and 35% fat). It’s ideal for eating a balanced meal at the office.
On sustainability, Kitchen Daily also does its part with recyclable trays, Kraft bags, and electric vehicles for delivery in the Paris region and carbon offsetting in the provinces.
A corporate service is also available.
⚠️ Cons: There are 27 meals but only 7 change each week, so you can get bored quickly.
For me, it’s essential to use these ready meals only as a backup or at least avoid eating directly from the tray every lunch and/or dinner.
8. Potager City

Potager City prepares and delivers fruit and vegetable boxes directly from the producers. The box contents change every week.
The company works with regional producers. It selects only fresh, seasonal products and favors sustainable or organic farming whenever possible.
The boxes are available for 1 to 4 people and up.
You can supplement your weekly box with loose fruits and vegetables and grocery items : flour, olive oil, cookies…
The subscription is non-binding: you can pause your deliveries or cancel them whenever you like. It’s even possible to order from the shop without subscribing.
Delivery is included and only available at partner pickup points.
Price : from €11.50/week
👩🏻⚕️ The dietitian’s opinion
✅ Pros: It bears repeating that to eat a balanced diet and stay healthy, the intake of fruits and vegetables is necessary. With this type of box, you are guaranteed to eat seasonal, locally produced vegetables (for the most part), all year round.
Potager City works directly with its local partners to receive ultra-fresh produce. Partners the brand has worked with, in some cases, since its beginnings in 2007.
⚠️ Cons: The recipes on the site give an idea of what you can make with the fruits and vegetables you receive. However, it’s up to you to make the most of them each week and not leave them lying at the bottom of the box!
When you choose a box you do not have a choice of the fruits and vegetables included. In addition, deliveries are only possible to pickup points and mainly around large cities such as Paris, Bordeaux, Nantes, Lyon…
9. Aussitôt Bon

Aussitôt Bon specializes in the delivery of prepared meals, fresh and local. It guarantees meals ready in 2 minutes 30 seconds in the microwave.
The dishes are prepared by chefs using the sous-vide cooking technique at low temperature. This helps preserve flavors and vitamins and keeps food fresh for longer. They contain no additives and no preservatives.
The recipes are divided into 5 categories : Brasserie, Fitness, Balanced, Vegetarian and Vegan.
You can choose up to 14 dishes and add other items to your cart: breakfast, fruit, cheeses…
The subscription is commitment-free.
Delivery is free throughout metropolitan France.
Price : from €11.23/meal (discounted rates)
👩🏻⚕️ The dietitian’s opinion
✅ Pros : Low-temperature sous-vide cooking preserves vitamins and the taste of foods. It is therefore ideal as part of a balanced diet.
Moreover, the portion size seems larger than for other meal boxes, which will delight those with a hearty appetite.
The products are organic and/or certified to guarantee quality. Aussitôt Bon operates short supply chains, partnering with certified independent producers.
The dishes are delivered only once a week in 100% recyclable doypacks. An important commitment to sustainability.
⚠️ Cons : In my view, the recipes are very (too?) simple and may be less exciting than on other sites.
Also, many recipes don’t include vegetables (for the week studied: Flemish stew, sausage/mashed potatoes, pork ribs and potatoes…) and there are quite a few repeats (7 recipes out of 18 with potatoes). Give it a try!
